Our fabrics can be hand washed or machine washed on a gentle cold water cycle using a mild detergent.
To help extend the life of your flag:
- Wash in cold water only.
- Use a gentle or delicate cycle.
- Do not use bleach or use harsh chemicals.
- Air dry in the shade.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Do not wring the fabric as this may damage the print or stitching. Will washing affect the print quality? the print or stitching.
Will washing affect the print quality?
Our fabrics are printed using dye sublimation, which produces vibrant colours that are embedded into the fabric fibres. While the print is durable, repeated washing, prolonged UV exposure and outdoor weather conditions will gradually cause colours to fade over time. Following the recommended washing instructions will help maximise the lifespan of your fabric.
Can I iron my fabric?
Yes. If required, use a cool iron on the reverse side of the fabric. Alternatively, hanging the fabric for a short period will often allow any creases to relax naturally.
How often should I wash my fabric?
Only wash your fabric when necessary. For most fabrics, gently brushing off dust or dirt is often sufficient. Frequent washing may reduce the lifespan of the fabric over time.
Can I dry clean my fabric?
We do not recommend dry cleaning, as some chemicals used during the process may affect the fabric or printed graphics.
To maximise the lifespan of your fabric flag:
- Bring it indoors during strong winds or severe weather.
- Avoid leaving it outdoors 24/7 when not required.
- Wash only when necessary, using cold water and a mild detergent.
- Allow it to air dry completely before storing.
- Store it in a clean, dry place when not in use.
